On December 21, the "2021 China imported coal summit" hosted by China Coal Industry Association and China coal transportation and marketing association was held in Beijing. The summit consists of four parts: the opening ceremony, the coal Market Summit Forum, the 2022 coal purchase and sales contract signed by coal import and export enterprises, and the procurement demand plan seminar. Relevant government departments, industry associations, production enterprises, consumer enterprises and relevant institutions at home and abroad are invited to participate.

Li Yuling, deputy general manager of QUAN JUN DA INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. (Hereinafter referred to as “QUAN JUN DA”) , was invited to attend. At the meeting, Quan Junda, as a standing member of the coal import and export professional committee of the coal transportation and Marketing Association, signed a medium and long-term contract for electric coal in the international market in 2022 with foreign noble company.

China is the largest coal market in the world. Maintaining a certain import scale can play a supplementary and regulatory role for the southeast coastal areas and Northeast China. China's annual coal import scale of about 300 million tons is also an important coal consumption area for coal exporting countries such as Indonesia, Russia and Mongolia, and an important part of the international trade balance. At present, China's coal import volume has accounted for more than 20% of the international coal trade volume. At present, the global economy is down, and China's import trade, as the leading factor in market changes, is of great significance to promote the fairness and stability of the global coal market.

Promoting the revolution of energy production and consumption and building a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system is the only way for China's energy development in the coming period. China's coal import is not just the import of coal commodities, but the extensive cooperation of joint construction and sharing. We should comprehensively understand and deeply grasp the significance of China's coal import from the perspective of development and in combination with China's national conditions, promote all parties to have a clearer understanding of the significance of China's coal import, and create a new pattern of cooperation.

The summit recommended the establishment of a coordination mechanism for imported coal to form a comprehensive governance pattern of imported coal market order led by the government, market operation, industry self-discipline and social supervision. The summit suggested that a certain proportion of international coal resources should be targeted, with power coal consumption enterprises and some national reserve bases as the main body, gradually establish a medium and long-term contract system for imported power coal, enhance the domestic power coal supply guarantee capacity, better guide market expectations, form a relatively stable imported coal supply system, and firmly put the rice bowl of energy in their own hands.
